February 2013

Welcome to 2013. The year has started off nicely with a steady influx of office based work, shipping and maintenance. But January is perculier month. As always it flies by and all of a sudden we find ourselves in mid-February with a list of jobs to be completed no longer over the winter, but within the next few weeks!

Outdoors our maintenance schedule has seen all our moorings checked and renewed where needed for the coming season. Whilst we are currently working on our pontoon, mooring rings and railings as well as a new colour scheme for the Harbour buildings to complement the signs provided by our Public Realm Improvements project.

Indoors, we have improved, and had approved, our Port Waste Management Plan.  A new information leaflet has been developed for our French speaking customers and new and improved pontoon and quay permits are also being progressed.

We are looking forward to the arrival of the Scillonian III next month which marks the start of the much welcomed 2013 season.
