July 2012

We started the month with a visit from the 22000grt Marco Polo. At over 40 years old this impressive ship is always a welcome sight  and brings many passengers to discover the Islands during the summer months. This was followed two days later by the 1990 built Hapag-Lloyd Vessel Bremen. Another vessel who has previously visited the Islands she, interestingly, in 2003, discovered a previously uncharted Island in Antartica. Next was the Athena on the 13th followed by the final ship of the month, the 12449grt, 437ft Minerva.
