On the week beginning the 28th September we had our last two Cruise Ships for the year, the first being the 16,144grt ‘Athena’. Built in 1948, She is the oldest Cruise vessel in operation today and sports an interesting stern arrangement to keep in line with current stability regulations. It was her first visit to the Islands and we hope to welcome them back next year.

Later in the week the ‘Marco Polo’ made her second visit for the year. At 22,080grt, and a 176 metre length, she is one of the larger ships into the Port.
