Waste Disposal

Waste oil: Within the harbour we have facilities for disposing of small amounts of oil and oily waste. As the facility is kept in a restricted area please visit us in the harbour office where we would be please to advise you on the correct means of access.
Recycling: Recycling bins are placed along the quay for glass and metal whilst plastic can be placed in the recycling bins to the rear of the town hall.
General Refuse: General refuse should be placed in one of the various grey wheelie bins along the front of the main building. If you have more than a small quantity please come and see us in the Harbour Office.
International Catering Waste: If you arrive in St Mary’s Harbour from outside the UK, the general waste onboard your vessel is classed as International Catering Waste (ICW) and needs to be disposed of separately to that from a vessel travelling within the UK. Harbour Staff should be informed and waste should be brought to the Harbour Office for the necessary procedures to be implemented.
Sewage: We have no pump out facilities in St Mary’s Harbour and request that our shore facilities or holding tanks are used.

Toilets & Showers

In the main building on the Quay we have ladies, gents and unisex disabled toilets. In the same block are 4 shower cubicles one of which is fully equipped for disabled access. The Shower and Toilet block is open 24 hours throughout the season. Showers are operated with a £1 coin or with a token available from the harbour.

Water & Electric

Situated at the inner berths are two points providing fresh water and electricity. It should be noted that the inner berths have tidal constraints and are approximately 1 metre above Chart Datum.

Fuel

Diesel and petrol are available both in cans and direct to vessel from ‘Sibley’s’  ‘VHF Ch12’ in the Harbour’s middle berth at the following times: 0800-1130 and 1300-1700.
It should be noted that the fuel berth is subject to tidal constraints and is approximately 0.5 metres above Chart Datum.

Other Facilities

Within easy reach of the Harbour are Marine Engineers, a Launderette, Sail Makers, Banks and Shops.
