April 2013

March has seen the welcome return of the Scillonian III. After her winter break she has returned having had a £2 Million refit in the dry-dock in Penzance. With new seating, colour scheme, radar, davits, flat screen TV’s and many more “unseen additions” the ship is certainly looking great and ready for a busy summer season. The Gry Maritha has pressed on with her 3 day a week schedule throughout the month and we also welcomed the landing craft Sabrina on a handful of occasions. The MCA have been over to inspect the commercial vessels, all of whom are now on their moorings. With Easter here, we had hoped for some warmer weather but, at least it is dry! Our cruise ship season gets underway in the 1st week of April and hopefully it will kick off what will be a busy year here in the harbour.
